Melanie Jones, Performer and Writer

An accoladed producer, published author and unconventional performer, Melanie Jones’ groundbreaking audio-dance-theatre work, "ENDURE," was named a “Most Memorable Theatre Moment of 2011” by the Calgary Herald. It was also nominated for five 2012 New York Innovative Theatre Awards, including best full-length script. She has written, produced and hosted more than 50 segments of television for CityTV and is the author of three published nonfiction books. She was the writer and on-camera host of the innovative LEAP Project, an online course for teens with depression. She was the writer for the photo-story documentary project Waves Of Change, documenting the world water crisis in Zambia, India and Haiti.

Melanie has been awarded grants from Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Calgary 2012/Cultural Capital of Canada, Fractured Atlas as well as being selected as New York’s Piper Theatre Productions Emerging Artist for 2011. She has received residencies from the Banff Centre for the Arts (Alberta, Canada) and Mount Tremper Arts (Upstate New York). Her work has been presented by FRIGID NY, Piper Theatre Productions, High Performance Rodeo, Swallow-A-Bicycle, CityTV, Bow River Flow Festival and Downstage Theatre/birds and stone. Her work has been reviewed by NY Daily News, Huffington Post, RunnersWorld.com, The Calgary Herald, FitnessMagazine.com and Washington Times Communities. Jones received her MA from York University in Dance and her BA from the University of Calgary in Dance/Theatre.

Christine Owman, Composer

Christine Owman is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Sweden. After the release of her first album Open Doors (Revolving Records, 2003) Christine began developing her distinctive sound blending dreamy folk with raw distortion, clever lyrics and transcendent vocal. The material resulted in the album Throwing Knives, which was released in 2010/2011. Following an extensive tour that includes Russia, Italy, France, Germany, the UK, Canada and the US, Christine will release her third full-length album in November of 2012. Christine is also working on music for her third theatre collaboration and is getting financial support for her creative work for the second year in a row from the Swedish Arts Council. Suchan Vodoor, Director

Suchan Vodoor is a director, designer, and producer specializing in ensemble based physical theatre. He has spent 15 years directing innovative physical theatre in New York City, including 8 years as the Resident Director of a critically acclaimed comedy troupe, Six Characters. Suchan's work with the group was hailed as "a love letter to classic comedy" by the New York Times. Other notable projects include an early role in "Animal Magnetism" with Mabou Mines and "Bonejesters," an ensemble storytelling and juggling piece performed at LaMaMa. He is an associate member of Synaesthetic Theatre, co-directing their last show, "The Empire's New Clothes." Suchan's work in film and video post-production includes projects with Paramount Films, Hearst Entertainment, and Maysles Films. "ENDURE" is his most recent project as a director.


Jessica D. Baker, Executive Producer

Jessica D. Baker is a freelance commercial theatrical producer and general manager based in New York City. In addition to her work with “ENDURE,” Jessica is also currently creative producing Blue Man Group's upcoming stage show at the Monte Carlo Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Past credits include General Manager for Franco Dragone Entertainment Group's smash hit in Asia, "The House of Dancing Water," Producer for Synaesthetic Theatre's "The Trial of K" in New York and Salamanca, Spain and "Arcana: Cycle of the Fool" in New York City. Jessica also worked for 10 years on the senior management team of Blue Man Productions in New York, NY. 


Kym Bernazky, Artistic Director of Collision Productions

Kym Bernazky has been working in New York City's downtown theater scene since 1998. Previously founder/artistic director of Six Characters – the all-silent, postmodern-vaudeville troupe and cult phenomenon – Kym has made it her goal to amaze and delight her audiences. Whether encouraging them to throw pies or surprising them with gospel choirs, Kym has been subverting the fourth wall for over a decade. Currently, Kym is giving up TV for a year. Julie Threlkeld, Producer/Crew

Julie Threlkeld is a competitive runner, journalist and writer/storyteller based in New York. A former marathoner, she now competes in various middle distances on both the track and on the roads. She has written for Running Times and Runner’s World and regularly interviews some of the world’s top professional distance runners. She has performed her stories at venues such as The Story Studio, The Peoples Improv Theatre and Cabinet; and on the RISK! Show podcast. Mary Cavett, Understudy/Crew

Mary Cavett is an actor, dancer and theater maker in New York City. She is also a member of the world famous Radio City Rockettes. As an artist who seeks to explore new ways to merge dance and theater, Mary is thrilled to be a part of Team ENDURE. Stage work includes: FringeNYC, NOLA Fringe, The CRY HAVOC Company, Smith Street Stage, Chester Theater Company. Film & TV: "Surrogate Valentine;" ABC's "Pan Am" and "All My Children."  Mary is a founding member of The Ragdoll Engine Collective, and is a Resident Artist with The CRY HAVOC Company. Mary has a BFA in Theater from NYU Tisch and studied at the Stella Adler Studio, RADA and SITI Company.
